After the fall's incredibly moving and successful Diary of Anne Frank, and the winter's powerful Julius Caesar, we are proud to present our final show of the year, Rodgers and Hammerstein's enchanting, CAROUSEL. Set in the beautiful New England of 1873, it is the story of the ne'er-do-well carnival barker, Billy Bigelow, and his sweetheart, Julie Jordan. We watch them fall in love during the gorgeous opening carnival scene and then share their feelings with the touching If I Loved You. Cousin Nettie and the townfolk give a rousing June Is Bustin' Out All Over to set the stage for a later clambake and graduation. Julie's friend, Carrie, and her fisherman husband, Enoch, provide plenty of comic relief. And, one of the most stirring moments of the show is Nettie's reassuring You'll Never Walk Alone. Leading the cast of over seventy are Glen Chilcote as Billy Laura DiPasquale as Julie Elisabeth-Brook Marlowe as Nettie Danielle Precourt as Carrie Joe Finney as Enoch Josh Cordeiro as Jigger Dan Quinn is Stage Manager |
