| Caesar Rodney Stage Crew and Thespians Meeting Friday, September 26, 2008 7:30 a.m. National Theatre Society -- We are chartering with this organization. Paperwork is in process. - Current Thespians need to be re-inducted, but everyone has enough points to do so. - Productions outside the school can be counted. - Benefits of membership: official membership cards, theatre tassels for graduation additional items can be earned (i.e. pins, patches, etc.) with additional points. Attitude of Stage Crew and Thespian members - Mr. Muller is dismayed with the "look down our noses at those not members" approach. - We are not a secret society. - Everyone will be allowed at meetings regardless of induction status. - Everyone in the group currently is considered an apprentice until "officially" inducted into the National Theatre Society. - Everyone regardless of induction status will be allowed to participate in all group activities, except the induction ceremony which will be planned, organized and executed by "inducted" members and Mr. Muller. - If the attitude of the inductees does not improve, the "Saturday Free for All" in the spring will NOT take place. Voting Procedures - If you do not attend a meeting where a vote takes place, you forfeit your vote. Executive Committee - Mr. Muller needs to be better informed about the goings-on of the executive committee. ALL ideas must be given to Mr. Muller for approval prior to presenting the information to the group. If this procedure is not followed, these events will not take place. Mr. Muller has ultimate VETO power on any and all suggestions/ideas presented. Business Partnership - Mr. Muller will be attending the next board meeting for the Kent County Theatre Guild to present to them the initiation of a business partnership between them and us. More details to follow after that meeting. |

| Caesar Rodney Stage Crew and Thespians Meeting Thursday, October 2, 2008 6:00 p.m. International Thespian Society - Six members need to pay dues ($22.00 -- one-time fee for lifetime membership) by October 8 to Mr. Muller to charter our organization. We can add members throughout the year at any time. - If you become a member of the International Thespian Society, you will be formally inducted and receive the benefits of an "inductee." All current CR inductees are eligible right now! Apprentices DO NOT pay the dues until they have earned enough points to be inducted. Festival of Eastern Shore Theatre - The cost of the trip will be approximately $20.00 per participant. This fee includes lunch, dinner and transportation. There will be workshops and competitions. Go to NCHSDramaclub.com for more information. Homecoming 2008 - Hannah Banez and Molly Barron presented a new idea for this year's float. Their idea was outlined as being a mix between the "Cage the Eagles" theme and advertising for "Arsenic and Old Lace." The float will hold the cast of "Arsenic and Old Lace" "capturing" members of the Smyrna football team. Actors portraying members of the Smyrna football team will dress in Smyrna colors, while the cast will be dressed in costume (as much as possible depending on the weather) with subtle CR colors tied in. Other members of the Stage Crew and Thespians will be dressed blatantly in CR colors and will hand out fliers for the fall production that will contain an advertisement for the production. - Unanimous vote to change the homecoming float idea to this one.
